Vagisan^® Moisturising Cream Combi
for vaginal dryness

There are already several hormone-free, gel-based products (aqueous preparations) available to alleviate discomfort due to vaginal dryness. For many women, however, these lack the soothing and skin-caring components; they would therefore rather use a cream. The creams available up to now in Germany require a prescription and contain oestrogen (female hormones).

Characteristics of Vagisan Moisturising Cream Combi

One pack of Vagisan Moisturising Cream Combi contains:

• Vagisan Moisturising Cream Cremolum (pessaries) for the treatment of dryness inside the vagina and
• Vagisan Moisturising Cream for use at the vaginal opening and in the external genital area.

Both products are free of hormones (oestrogen). Vagisan Moisturising Cream Combi can therefore also be used together with hormone replacement therapy or be alternated with vaginal creams or pessaries containing hormones (oestrogen).

The regular use of Vagisan Moisturising Cream Combi can help prevent irritation and inflammation in the vagina and in the external genital area.

Smooth-melting Vagisan Moisturising Cream Cremolum instead of applicator

The Cremolum is a pessary and unique in its kind. It melts in the heat of the vagina, forming a cream which moisturises the vagina and exhibits a lasting soothing effect - a major benefit for women who dislike using an applicator to apply a cream.

Small amounts of lactic acid give the cream formed in the vagina a pH (acidity) of 4.5 – so Vagisan Moisturising Cream Cremolum helps maintain a healthy vaginal environment.

The first hormone-free cream for vaginal dryness in Germany

Unlike an aqueous preparation (gel), Vagisan Moisturising Cream is a cream. In addition to a high water content, creams also have a soothing lipid component.

Moisturising and skin-caring: With these characteristics typical of creams, Vagisan Moisturising Cream alleviates discomfort due to dryness in the genital area (dry sensation, burning, itching and painful intercourse) – without the use of hormones.

Use

Vagisan Moisturising Cream Combi is a combination of

• Vagisan Moisturising Cream Cremolum (pessaries) for use in the vagina – without an applicator – and
• Vagisan Moisturising Cream for use at the vaginal opening and in the external genital area

because most women with vaginal dryness symptoms experience dryness/burning/itching/pain not just in the vagina (internally) but also at the vaginal opening and in the external genital area (externally).

Vagisan Moisturising Cream Combi is recommended for women who dislike the use of applicators.

• For use inside the vagina, insert one Cremolum in the vagina, preferably before going to bed. It can be used once a day or less often (such as 2–3 x per week), depending on individual symptoms. We recommend wearing a panty liner when using this product.
• To care for the external genital area and the vaginal opening, Vagisan Moisturising Cream can be applied directly several times per day as needed.
• Vagisan Moisturising Cream Combi may be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
• The Moisturising Cream can be applied from the tube as needed prior to intercourse.

Ingredients

Vagisan Moisturising Cream Cremolum (vaginal pessaries) – 8 vaginal pessaries

calcium lactate, cetearyl alcohol, hydrogenated coco-glycerides, lactic acid, PEG-20 glyceryl stearate, sodium carbomer

The pessary is free of hormones, fragrances and preservatives.

Vagisan Moisturising Cream – 10 g cream

aqua, benzyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, lactic acid, octyldodecanol, polysorbate 60, sodium lactate, sorbitan stearate

The cream is free of hormones and fragrances.

When should you consult your gynaecologist?

Always consult your gynaecologist in case of severe symptoms or pain in the vaginal and external genital area, or in case of bleeding. Hormonal treatment may be necessary in the form of vaginal cream or pessaries. Discuss this question with your doctor.

Moreover, you should consult your doctor

• in case of pain or burning when urinating
• if you notice traces of blood on the toilet paper after a bowel movement
• if you suspect a vaginal infection (discharge, severe burning, itching)
